Laurel House is the most traditional of the cottages, having a high vaulted ceiling to the main living area. The kitchen is to the rear of the house, and despite being compact has all the customary modern appliances.
The dining table fits neatly beneath the open-plan stairs, which lead up from the lounge to a useful landing. There are doors to the shower room and both bedrooms from the landing.
The bedrooms have sloping ceilings with velux windows and original beams. The double room additionally retains the original pigeonnier which allows beams of sunlight to stream into the room. |
